Thanks Dusty, they are going to be loud that's for sure, I chose them as I think they are pretty and would love them to be quiet 🤐 so I don't draw too much attention when I rag her ( which is how I roll ) lol

looking ood, the side stand hitting, yeah, if the stand is worn they will, its the one thing I should have done was loan them a bike with a worn side stand and bracket as most bikes seem to be that way, but never gave it a thought at the time ! Does sound sweet tnough, as I say, I did try to quieten it down a bit with extra packing

What can i say, the pipes look fantastic, sound really good too. That bike has turned out to be a really lovely hybrid. Love the blue with white wheels.
With regard to the side stand, i had the same problem on my 31k hybrid, but instead of weld, we drilled and tapped a hole and put an M5 bolt in the side stand, much easier and adjustable too!! (when i say 'we', i mean Dusty!) There is a pic on my 'New Addition' thread on page 9

So that idea is great.. yeah the blue goes well with the white wheels and the main thing is she performs great, can't wait to ride her tomorrow and see the improvements.. cheers Mark

Well I test rode her today, she is super responsive that's for sure, sounds great and goes like stink, fantastic.... however I now have a new problem, I experienced the clutch randomly slipping and the revs shooting all the way to the rev limiter without the pull :-( it didn't happen consistently but of course it needs sorting, not sure wether it's the clutch springs or worn friction plates, the motor has had a Mick Abbey tune and with the new expansions it could just be the springs, any comments or advice greatly appreciated.. cheers Mark

Looking good, and they do sound great in the flesh. Rides great too, cheers mark for making me now want a hybrid with a pv engine. So much more torque low end than my razor blade clad lc. Lol still got to love an old Elsie thou.

Thanks Gaz, thought I'd lost you for a while before I backed off for you 😂 . was super gutted that you tricked me though when we swapped bikes not to open her up proper as you were running her in, then when we swapped back bikes telling me that your power band is all the way at the top of the rev range. If you run them in like me they end up faster!

This could get expensive as I'm now looking at Norbo's clutch window engine case. Going to spend some time over winter making her look pretty :-)

That looks nice Mouse, yes I'll have too research all the options, Norbo's polished one looks brill but it's a lot of dollars at £345 and I do have a spare one in the garage which I could get modded, re spray and buy the window.. did you use heatproof paint on the ypvs bit on your billet head? Cheers Mark

Cheers Mark Hello Dono, this one was done by NK racing, but the one on the 31k hybrid was done by MBD, however when i crashed it it cracked the casing and leaked oil, no reflection on MBD! But i guess cutting the window weakens the case. Both NK and MBD do similar things to cut the window, both use 'o' rings but fit them differently, i don't think there is much difference between the two. Mouse
