I'd be interested in how they work on a 250. I'm doing away with the 350 conversion on my 4L1, and could be interested in a set of pipes so I can keep the originals in better condition.

These look great Dave. I'm planning on building a Hybrid and it will have yours or Kennys pipes on it for sure. Maybe I missed this but being in marketing, I am sure you would sell more successfully with some branding - don't you have a name for your line of pipes yet? (I suppose MuttsNutts is too obvious - anyway it probably means w**ker in Swedish or something...)
Cheers,
Don

Ok, had a stock 250 across today for pipe testing, well ok, we thought it was a stock 250LC, but making 35bhp is not stock, so looks like its been tweaked, anyway, after a bit of a shaky start (bike needed some sorting as running rough), I got it running much better. Long and the short, the pipes work well on the 250 in the mid range (as they are designed to do), but didn't make anymore bhp top end, not an issue per-se, but I think with some tweaking specific for the 250, they can better, still, the feedback was very positive, but I'll let Roger provide that Dyno graph below, ignore the horrible dip around 5k, I didn't have the right size pilot jet to sort it (nothing to do with the pipes BTW), but it gives you the general idea, approx 25% bhp gain at 6500rpm Big thanks to Roger for loan of his 250 (stocker) !! anybody else got a proper stock 250 I can try !! (only kidding Roger), it provided the data that I what wanted to know

... approx 25% bhp gain at 6500rpm Wow, on a 250 that would be a wonderful feeling. nice work as usual Dave!

Big thanks to Dave for sorting out my 250 yesterday, and letting me see his new pipes in action on my bike. They sound and look great when on the bike. Unfortunately I had a bad wrist so took Little Dave (my impartial test rider) to test the bike and here's his feedback: When riding with the new pipes on,the power delivery came in earlier, which made it a lot more fun but also feel smoother and actually made it easier to ride at normal traffic speed. When going uphill the bike pulled well and didn't run out of breath as before,as there was more power lower down, enabling the bike to pull better. The bike felt crisper throughout the rev range and therefore altogether nicer to ride.

Yesterday I took my Fahron 370 LC up to Daves aka Muttsnuts on here and had a few runs on his dyno with my small can Microns then we fitted the midrange pipes he has been designing the midrange pipes made nearly 11 bhp more @ 6000 rpm than the Microns and were 2 bhp down on top end power so a good trade the pipes were just bolted on no changes were made at all to the set up Dave will put up a dyno chart up latter to show how good they are well the road test was next 3 words to describe them Bonkers Mental Nuts they pull from 3 thousand rpm like a train the front wheel lifts in the 1st 3 gears for fun on the smallest of throttle they are wanting to pull into the powerband no stutter or flat spot they just make power without killing your crank i had problems trying to do a video of them so the video starts with the Microns on and then the midrange pipes

I also went up to Dave's yesterday and rode his standard 350 lc with the midrange pipes. The pipes are outrageous. No flat spots they just pull and pull. Set off in first gear giving it a handful and ghe front wheel comes up. Into second and the wheel is up again. Into third and the wheel goes very light. This was all on power. No clutching the bike up and I can confirm the bike is totally standard. No porting. STD carbs std reeds. Awesome pipes

here's John's (FoxyJohn) dynograph for is 370 Fahron, pretty impressive to say the least and completely eliminated his stutter around 5k, a 10.9bhp gain at 6k rpm and a loss of 1.5bhp at peak power, that's a fair trade I reckon ! and what is more impressive is when you compare John's 370 with the pipes on to my test LC with the pipes on, madness, and if I then compare the 370 with the pipes to my test LC with Allspeeds on it is absolute madness, I'd have to say if you want a bonkers 350lc, then the combination of the Fahron 370 conversion with these mid range pipes on is about as best as you could get I'll sort the graphs out so you can see tomorrow

Ok, for those who have been waiting with baited breath, I will have the final design and pricing at the end of the week, meanwhile, this is the graph of Foxy's 370 vs my test bike with the pipes on and also against the test bike with the Allspeeds - just awesome !

Dave, yes they will be repackable, that has been the hold up, sorting out how best to achieve that, as I say, I'll have a set of the final design and price at the end of the week, once I have them I'll post all of that up for people to see etc and also how best to order them etc

Those are a good looking set of Microns on FoxyJohn's bike. Hard to find in that condition, wonder where he got them?

Just wanted to show people what steel pipes look like if you keep putting oil on them (my favourite colour) I didn't know that happened. Does the oil just burn into the steel and protect it? Bit like a bbq😀. Rich

I think the oil just heats up and sticks to it. On the front it gets so hot it just burns and go's black this area is very vulnerable to rust if you don't re oil. I never really use this one in the winter.
I do use the other bike in the winter and this has stainless steel pipes just for the crappy weather and salty conditions
