Well, having now found out that the Leadburn Inn classic night is now the 2nd Wednesday of the month, you should all come along to the August one (should be the 9th August - I will check!)
there was another black standard LC that turned up - I didnt see who was riding it and he shot off quite sharpish.
the Leadburn is at the A701/A703 crossroads a couple of miles south of Edinburgh.
likewise, there is a "meet" in the car-park of Cowdenbeath FC (shouldnt that always be followed by a "nil"??) on Friday 11th August - this cost £2 to get in but I believe this goes to charity.
The Leadburn is now thankfully free of Hardly-Abelsons on the Wednesday, they all go to "thunder-thursday" or should it be Tractor-thursday? and looks to be a good evening again.
I havent been to the one in Cowdenbeath yet, but a couple of the fifers with 2-strokes go and was going to meet them there last month, until it all got cancelled - it may be a bit of a tractor-fest!

Mike from Glenrothes here , there's a few strokes around here , been to the Cowdenbeath meet a couple of times , bit of a chopper trike hog meet , but friendly enough , not seen any strokers there , met a few of you guys at various things over the years We need to do a meet somewhere a bit central for everyone , not sure where that would be though

The Leadburn Classic Bike meet is NEXT Wednesday (9th)
Im think that the Kingdom bike thing in Cowdenbeath is Friday 11th.
Im planning on going to both on my LC (weather dependant!) - would be nice to see any other people out and about.
Both of these are Central/East, so not really any good for anyone from the West/North as it might be a bit of a trek....

I grew up in Peebles.....the road from there into Edinburgh (via Howgate)....was the racetrack....even on an SS50 (4 speed) which was brutal over the moors...in the winter I remember the speedo barely being able to nudge (an optimistic indicated) 32mph against the wind....returning many years later in 2014...was gutted to see a camera van on those moors- on a decent bike that semi straight with a blind curve was the unofficial speedtesting site.... I'm now in Nashville....different times.

but nashville means you arent too far from some superb roads Ive been on - the Cheraholla skyway was fantastic both ways (deals-gap was a bit meh!)
i hope to get out riding with my boss again, next time Im over there (huntsville, Alabama)
the camera van is there occasionally, but its easy to spot, so not much of a problem.

don't want to go too far off topic but....coincidentally...I'm been looking for a 2-stroke genius with a dyno to help me figure out jetting- not had much luck but found a gathering similar to the Leadburn one in....wait for it.......Huntsville, Alabama. hope to head over there and pick some brains....

I'm in Edin-bog-horror. I thought I was almost the only person in this city with a two stroke. You get the odd funny stare from old blokes but most people don't know what it is making the funny noise and smoke.

I don't think so no fixed ones anyway, the a9 has average speed cameras from Stirling to Perth but your not going that way,the trossachs is all lochs and mountains and bends

Thanks buddy sounds marvellous, haven't been for a few years and if I'm honest it's my favourite country, helped by the fact my wife's parents were from Falkirk way. Looking forward to going again.
