The riddler tank has been flushed on several occasions with vinegar and nuts and then petrol, but it's still clogging filters, any advice on how to clean out tank better without affecting paint lads?

I'd have to see if I still have some and read the label.
I know the marine clean is a strong alkali and could but can't remember about the other stuff.
Deox c is also really good for de rusting and is safe on paint

It's really good stuff.
I got a 20L drum from work and keep it in there.
Mix it with warm water as it dissolves better.
Not just for tanks, will derust anything steel

Deox C works better if warm. Stick a fish tank heater inside.
Good stuff, highly recommended.
Next time I'm going to try electrolysis, just to compare the two.

I used deox on a freshly painted mark cordwell paint job I was shitting myself but all was fine It's for my riddler hybrid so to say I'm crapping it is an understatement! Had major issues with my last resto with tank sh1t so don't need it again, just ordered 50 inline fuel filters from china so I'll use them too.

I used it on a newly painted tank as well without damage
I deox'd it then emptied and stuck a hose in the filler and ran water through it for 5 mins then drained then emptied a can of wd40 into it to disperse the water, emptied then put it somewhere warm to dry
It never rusted and I always stick 50ml of oil in each tankful to keep rust at bay

GOOGLE: derusting a tank using electrolysis. Easy Cheap AND it works. You will/may have to deal with crappy perforated tank metal afterwards though. But your Tank Will be rust free.

Citric acid is the stuff . 10 to 20 grams per ltr at 28c works best. as said earlier fish tank heater to warm it up. cleaned loads of tanks with this stuff inside and out. oh also used on painted tanks no problem.

When i cleaned my tank out prior to lining it i put 20 self tapping screws in it as well as the metal agent and shook it for ages, screws helped remove any crap in the tank.

It still works without the heater Stusco, I know it does, but the instructions suggest it works 'better' at higher temperatures. If you have a spare fish tank heater why not? Jon
