Baz was right you can't silver solder Ally to mild although I did find a video on YouTube for muggy weld solder rods, that show's it can be done but can't be bothered trying to buy them as they come from the USA and pricey too, so as in the pics shown you can silver solder mild on mild and SS on mild and the strength is really good I tried to break the SS plate and it bent and still wouldn't crack or come apart well impressed with it so here we go again making even more brackets π€ feck sake lol π π www.dropbox.com/s/em57cr1h1dq93ph/IMG_20180828_213709.jpg?dl=0

Dropped off the sprocket carrier today couple of things need doing sprocket itself needs sit 4:5mm nearer the swinger so having offset spacers made, the standard studs are 12mm these are being reduced halfway down for 10mm/1.25 pitch/gold titanium nuts and the sprocket countersunk for the nuts to sit back again giving clearance for the swinger hopefully back in a week or so will then post some pics π

You could use countersunk bolts instead of nuts and studs to give more clearance.

You could use countersunk bolts instead of nuts and studs to give more clearance. Granted mate but the issue I have is the carrier is 12mm and need to reduce the outer thread so the nuts don't look too big π

You can also use half nuts, like on a 250LC.

Glad to say it's running ok after the issue with the flywheel, can tinker with the carbs at a later date, just waiting on the rear sprocket hub from the engineer to see if all aligns up straight....bit of welding to finish off, wiring head light, clocks retro or digital? Bleed rear brake, tank and plasitics on sort the seat and take it up the road a few times when I'm happy comes the major strip and rebuild wash polish and paint ready for the summer ππ
Is there another way to add pics and videos?

Had an issue with the chain fowling the exhaust so been trying to sort a solution so added a rivet nut to left side of the swing arm made up a rough bracket and bought a roller see pic does the job fine will now need to make it so it looks factory....also had a go at finishing the seat it taking a better shape now and starting to look part of the lines...I did manage to get the rear hub and sprocket done and very happy with the results I'll post some of that tomorrow. photos.app.goo.gl/XBt8MUN61KfzRS4R6
