Hi Steve Your right they will be winging there way to Scotland They might be coming with the tdr if that's going to yours Quite a lot of olive on these mate as you already know Is the clock surround meant to be olive? Can I send the brake pedal, headlight bezel, kickstart, gear linkage and other big bits? Engine bolts I'm not sure cos I need a set for the lc2 afterwards Are you doing more?.. Matt Yes the Tdr is coming to mine so box the bits up and send them along. Not a problem to send the kick-start,brake pedal and tail light bracket along with the bolts. Sometimes bigger bits don't plate correctly in the barrel but he's good at keeping trying. My kick-start and brake pedal came out fine. Top clock cover is satin black and headlight surround should be black too. Think originally is black passivated so you can either paint it or they are still available new. Gear linkage should be chrome along with the rest of it I'm sure. Think it was the f2 that went to olive. Other olive bits should be disc bolts, caliper bolts, banjo bolts, brake line banjo's and brake line guides, Clock mount bolts, engine mount plates and the other usual fixings. Yellow is tail light bracket bolts, seat catches (on seat), catch bolts and screws, servo mount screws, cdi, coil and regulator fixings and suspension bolts. All rest clear zinc from memory but my n1 build should show the majority. Send me the lot if you like, just bag up in the different colours for separate batches. Engine bolt set wise I think I may have one full kit. Got a load of other screws as i bought 100 of each size so would have to look at what I've got Not a problem to get another batch done if you supply head bolts. Steve

Hi All Parts have started coming back now Powdercoaters done a lovely job in just 4 days . Whilst waiting on the bolts etc I had time to strip the engine Ready for vapour blasting Turnt up some surprises though Ball bearing, adjuster nut and washer in the bottom of the side casing Two bolts and springs missing from the clutch, odd Pistons,no jointing piece on the pvs and dodgey fixings everywhere They really shouldn't sell tools to gorillas Matt

Bugger about the bracket
Can you not paint the inner face with Matt black and use it
The shape of it makes it a nightmare to plate then ΓΎhe zinc won't take the dye.
He did say ideally if it was blasted first it may take better and stop the patching.
I usually just powder them as well but found an original finish one for my current build.

It's not just the inner there's bad bits on the outer curves that are seen No worries I'll use the powder one for now while I'm using it
When I get the lc2 parts done I'll send two that have been blasted, then keep my fingers crossed Bottom yokes coated two so will need to get one done as well I ain't got a set of standard pipes for it yet so until then I'll use it with allspeeds
Cheers Matt

Finally picked up the N1 today Although I'm gonna restore it I thought I'd see what I'm up against first I found that the cdi was missing along with the temp sender, carbs balance pipe, self cancelling unit and carbs retaining clips It got me wondering what state the engine and electrics were in I borrowed the cdi from my F1 build, fitted the other missing parts along with an aux petrol tank Then set about trying to fire it up Happy to say after about 50 kicks it burst into life and all the electrics seem to work It's misfiring a bit on the right side but sweet when firing it sounds ok Here's a pic of it on eBay Here's a pic of it running Although the seat will be replaced in red,I had to remove them hideous Yamahas I've already sent an N1 body kit to Cordwells so won't have to wait for it like usual Cheer Matt Looks SWEET.
