Right, here are a couple of pics of the rear caliper and hanger Hopefully in this first one you can see how far out the mounting hole is, the reason being the caliper is hitting the hanger at the top (the rounded part, where the piston is) , under the 'Tyga' and in this pic, you can just see the top right edge of the pad, which overlaps the painted area of the disc, so even if the caliper fitted the pads would bite into this area when the brake was applied, not right!
As i mentioned the disc is NOS RGV the hanger is for an RGV and brand new, the caliper is brand new too, have i got the wrong caliper?, i did not buy it, it was supplied with the forks and other bits i got.
Any help, much appreciated

Morning mate Looks like the wrong caliper. Just took a pic of mine - not easy to do laying on the floor with phone in one hand and Vernier in the other so excuse the crappy pic, but centres on the caliper should be 85mm; It wont be the disc, and unlikely the carrier if everything bolts together as it should. Weird ! Dusty

Hi Yea, we spoke this morning about the caliper. Mine has a different code on it compared to Mouse's. Could be a slightly different shaped casting that's causing it to fowl the carrier. Mouse was gonna investigate it further. Any luck with that Andrew ? Dusty

You might want to check it with the exhaust on before you decide what your going to do the spacers on your rear sets are quite thick maybe they can be altered

It looks like your side stand is lifting up to far. maybe some more experienced members can comment on this, and is it the right side stand for that model?

The spacers are thick because i did not want to cut off any of the 31k brackets and on the right there are all the brake mounts. This is so that at any time this could be returned to a standard 31k Mouse

I think you are right on the stand angle, yes as far as i am aware it is the right stand for a 31k. I do now remember when i built my 4LO hybrid i had the same problem! But i did get it sorted. Mouse

Looking really good Mouse.
I would have thought a couple of bits of weld on your sidestand to build up the stop should do it. At least that way your not damaging the frame paintwork. Sort it when the exhausts are fitted
Great build mate

It looks like the side stand mount may have been rewelded at some point, as the weld does not look factory. Perhaps it was put on at a different angle to standard? You can cut the sidestand off at the end of the tube part and modify the angle it is fitted at then reweld and powder coat again, but do this after you have exhausts etc fitted to make sure it clears everything as has already been stated. :-)

Good work coming together nicely, just one thing, I think the loom should run on the inside of the frame above the radiator, worth checking.

I will address the stand issue once the pipes are done. I do have another stand which could be cut and modified. Mouse

Great build mate Cheers Mark, A good idea, but like you say will wait till pipes are done first, which hopefully will not be too long! Mouse
