Where did the radiator come from? Bought it from Morgy on here i suspect it was a cheap chinese copy it needed lots of heat and persuasion with a hammer and dolly to reshape where it fits the top part of the frame, however it is more in keeping with the look for me

I noticed it was on your project how did it fit? As it was a right bugger for me, I know you hadn’t bought it and it came with the hybrid.

Looking good Veg That is one of the problems with the Chinese rads - some need persuading to fit, and some bolt straight on ! Very much "lucky dip" but still worth the minimal outlay to take a chance Dusty

I noticed it was on your project how did it fit? As it was a right bugger for me, I know you hadn’t bought it and it came with the hybrid. It fitted... I had to tweek the rad mounts a little but My spondon yokes hit the top of the rad.. I think my frame also has bracing under the headstock as well pushing it further forward.. If your not happy with it mate i can take it back. Regards Mark

Hi mate, any chance you could put up a pic or 2 of the rear brake torque arm set up as I am currently doing a marsbar 4l0 with a belgarda rear wheel in a JMC arm. Cheers. Your bike looks great, keep up the good work!

Also can you show a pic of the front wheel in the forks at the speedo drive area. I couldn't fit a begarda wheel with speedo drive in standard YPVS forks. Cheers mate, I don't ask for much do I.

Renamed as nothing is bloody easy with this build. So my radiator guard has fought me all the way I swapped the insert but that didn’t fit so I had to re drill and tap new holes and screw it into place. On top of fighting with the radiator. I now also realise the radiator has a smaller cap than standard. So I wheel the bike around and the rad guard massively interferes with right lock on the anti dive. Ok so I will sort that. Then I decide to fit the belly pan but the Tz pipes interferes with the belly pan consequently I cannot fit the belly pan. Onwards and upwards

like your onwards and upwards attitude is it one of norbos carbon pans ,is it the back that's stopping it fit, I ask as I really fancy one myself and my pipes look fairly similar to yours
cheers mart

It is one of norbo pans my pipes though are Tz race pipes so probably bigger than normal I know they normally fit with allspeeds and most expansion chambers

So couple more days in the garage Belly pan now fitted absolute ball ache had to cut it down so hole saw and hack saw later done Measured up the radiator cap and it’s tiny so went to my local motor factors and they let me measure up lots of different caps and bingo little jap family car later and it looks vaguely Tz ish so I’m happy Still lots of pissy little jobs to do but fingers crossed I can get it running before Xmas Now got to face re wiring which I can and have done before but I absolutely hate it so lots of new fittings ordered then on to it And because of the chain run had to turn rear wheel upside as the chain was hitting the spannies

How are you going to overcome the anti dive hitting the rad? Apart from that hiccup she looks fan bleedin' tastic!

Hi Veg Have you tried compressing the forks to see if the rad guard is gonna contact the mudguard ? Those deeper rads - allied with a spaced out rad guard come much closer to the back of the muddie. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks close already ?? Bike looks awesome mate Dusty

Thanks chaps I have compressed the forks they are ok it’s tight but clear the anti dive is the restriction on right hand lock I may have to turn the rad cover spacers down by 50% and maybe even bevel the mounting point.

So the rear master cylinder was a hrc type bought from NK but the pipe was sweating fluid so bought the correct pipe then decided to fit a proper master cylinder and brake light switch so had to strip it all down again and fab an aluminium bracket to mount the master cylinder Decided to replace the front master as well but of course the union was wrong so had to order the correct one Had to bevel the anti dive mount as it interfered with the rad cover Then had to reduce the spacer size on rad guard as it still interferes with the right lock Mounted speedo pick up and magnets Fitted a new temp gauge koso one then fitted the sensor so had to remove radiator again Always 2 steps forward one step back Replaced all the std bolts screws that I bought new from norbo where possible with drilled titanium just for the look and re lock wired everything Finally see light at the end of the tunnel
