NEXT!! Picked this up off a forum member. Lc2 all the way from Austria, matching number 31k-001128 so an early one. Don't all be envious of the 70's burgandy paintjob it ain't for sale Plan is to make it into a very tidy but usable Lc2 so no show bike. Already got all the fixings re plated and totally stripped and most parts sourced You would think that the previous owner would of at least removed some bits to spray the frame but apparently not It's all at the powder coater's now so hopefully not long before it starts going back together. Steve

Good bike, looks all there. Yes good Base to start from. Pm me your address and price again for a pump refurb and I'll send it down to you. May even strip the one off the 385 and send it too. Engine needs some work as it looks like some one has tried to remove the right power valve without taking the top end off so just snapped it. Also found left cylinder has some damage from a previous blow up. Looks like some debris has caught in a transfer port and damaged the piston from top ring to crown. Amazingly they just put rings in leaving the bore and piston scored. Would rebore fine but is on standard bore and have another standard barrel so will fit that with new pistons and rings. Pipes need changed too but have a good pair Steve

Bugger, Bugger and Bugger again. Don't think the cooling system would have worked Also found this nightmare with the locating point for the kickstart spring. Anyone know who can sor this kind of thing Then to top it off I hadnt noticed the other problem as not looked straight down on the engine but then this disaster reared its ugly head How do you do this to a standard bore, not blown up engine Steve

Has it been swimming hydraulic locked? No idea what's happened. No head, piston, bore or crankcase I'd only turned it over by hand and it turned fine but has obviously not been run like that as it surely would have caused strange bore/piston markings so hydraulic lock about the only explanation I would not be so bothered if the crank was knackered but everything measures fine. Only way you'll bend a rod like that is trying to start it when the cases are flooded.

..... nasty !... that will be why the kickstart locating point has been broken off, due to it hydraulicing while someone has been over zelous with the kickstart. good luck.

Bit of an update All new crank including timing web as bearing had spun on it. All in with Gen seals Top case on Ready for top end tomorrow. Using a good pair of standard bore cylinders so just new pistons/rings for the top end along with the usual PV service items. Amazed the ring end gaps even measured in spec, first time for everything but then they are not genuine Would have had the clutch all fitted but went to fit the plates I got from Legend Motorcycles and they are wrong. Worst bit is I had soaked them yesterday in oil so probably stuffed for a refund. Steve

What clutch plates did you get They were just supposed to be standard plates but cheap no good if they don't fit. Dan's already messaged back saying he will look into it. Too good to be true at 30 quid posted. Annoying thing is the ones in the bike look new. Steel plates still had the machining marks on them and frictions were over 3mm so no wear but dont trust that they may be 10 years old Steve
