Legend strikes again, luckily they blocked me on eBay On a better note I’ve found the stand switches so if you pm me your address I’ll get one in the post Paintwork looks awesome Matt Yes, this is the third time for me now that something hasn’t fitted properly with a Legend motorcycles product. First was their high load needle bearings having too big a diameter, but they were cheap so I just chalked this up. The other day when I was comparing radiator pipe lengths I noticed the matt black ones I had off them that are closer to 22mm internally instead of 20mm so I wonder if they’ll leak when I get round to using them? If so £40 down the drain. Then yesterday the radiator inlet spigot is clearly wrong for a faired YPVS. The OEM spigot is at an angle to clear the mid fairing frame bracket. There was no way it was going to fit. What’s more is I have 2 now and they were both the same. I can’t see them for sale any more to see it it was just a bad batch. It’s a shame as I really liked their billet YPVS flywheel and oil/water pump covers and have collected 2 sets. Jon

I always think this type of product is made with the best intentions from the sellars as it bears their name and i bet the last prototype version was good. It probably gets ruined by cheap manufacturing.

So yesterday I fired up the F2 for the first time in 3 years. I'm doing a couple of heat cycles without coolant and then torque head down and fill up. Sounds so much better than before. Fairly quiet but deepish sound. Click on the photo to play a video. Jon

Just realised I never posted a finished (when are they ever?) pic. It’s had new fairing fixings machined to spread the load better, and a super rare pair of 51L? Aluminium clipons which raise the bars a bit. Jon

Dont think the clip ons are OEM F1 Jon, unless they are a Jap only thing. FYI our 51L engined F1s here have F1 steel bars and yours look F2 style.

The 51L bars? Were put on after that photo. Here is a photo of them: DSC02962 by Jon Leech, on Flickr They are a good inch higher and made of aluminium. Jon

Keep the noise down jon I used to have a set of pipes like that You used to have a set of pipes EXACTLY like that before I bought them, and improved on the stubs. If you remember that’s also exactly why I bought them to ‘keep the noise down’ as they are quite ‘restrained’. Jon
