Great day at the Ace. The sun came out Met some brilliant guys. It's always nice to put faces to the names on the forum. Everybody was friendly. I didn't have much camera memory, so I'm sorry if I left anyone's bike out. These images don't do the bikes justice, there were some stunning bikes, the attention to detail, preparation and quality of build was jaw dropping.

Hi Great pics Mark - I'm glad some were posted up. Typical - just had some time off from work and went back onto Saturday and Sunday days, so missed Kempton and the Ace The first pic is my old Ypve/Tzr project bike I sold (rolling chassis) to Karl on here. Really pleased to see he is on the road with it. And he's done a great job with the seat/pipes and engine. Definitely be there next time Dusty

It was pretty quiet and not much there at all.. Managed to pick up just a couple of bits.. Gutted I missed the 2 stroke day though... had 'chores' to do... Reg

Hi Alan Kempton rarely has much 2 stroke Yam stuff unfortunately, but I do go for a mooch around a couple of times a year normally. Usually get just a few odds and sods like nuts and bolts !! The dealers get all the bargains anyway I did enjoy the Ace when I went with Yamark and Mouse last year - glorious weather made all the difference. Look forward to going again this year Hope you are well mate Regards Dusty

Agree about the dealers..
There was a French guy there with a whole load of trail bikes. He had at least 4 x KE175 Kawasakis, the later type with the square tank. I've been after one for a while and made a beeline for him only to find out that another 'dealer' had bought the lot at about 07:30
bloody typical...

Hi mate You can get in early if you pay a tenner, and it's before 8.45 I think. I did that once when I went before going on a day shift. A lot of the deals are done by other traders who are setting up their own stalls really early. Car boots sales used to be the same - people would turn up with empty cars, walk round and buy the bargains and then sell them from their stall !! I will never be a dealer !! Every now and then you see some Lc parts, but they are usually priced way over their value so I've never come away thinking I have had a great result. Still nice to have a look around though Dusty
