Hi to all. Well, long story short: bought my standard mars bar 350lc back in 1991, wrote it off not too long afterwards, rebuilt it not long after that with straightened frame and forks, black smoothrited frame, forks, engine and anything else that could be smoothrited (best diy paint ever) tuned engine with new Pistons, painted mk1 escort purple velvet with bikini fairing, ledar pipes and various other bits and pieces. Ran it in etc, went well then broke down due to the woodruff key coming out of the generator. Removed the engine to smoothrite the frame yellow ( ?) passed my car test and there it sat ever since (circa 1993/94) So........ Some 22 years later after watching Bruce ansti on tv going round the TT track on a yzr500 like stink I got my mojo working and wheeled it from my parents house to mine ]to start a rebuild. After some looking about on t'internet I fancied something a bit different so here we go......

Hi Welcome to the forum. Looks like your Lc has survived it's hibernation pretty well - even the tank doesn't look too bad. It's great that you kept it - so many of us sold our bikes to get a first car . Lots of hybrid builds in the resto section if you need inspiration. Brace yourself for the cost of some parts though - 80s/90s parts prices are a distant dream !! Good luck and look forward to your progress. Dusty

Yah thanks a lot for that. It has survived well considering it was outside kind of under coverish. I'll keep it up to date thanks

My 31K YPVS also came in this colour purple with a blue front wheel and yellow back wheel. All very tasteful...not
Looks like an excellent starting point with loads of sentimental value as an added bonus that might just help justify to yourself the cash you are going to spend.
Good luck and I will look forward to updates.

Rgv front and rear end modifications done and waiting my collection from Nk racing. Dropped the complete engine off to Mark Dent (performance fabrications) for rebuild/tune and probably loads of other stuff now I've seen what he does.... Wow Came to a bit of a standstill for a few weeks but all of s sudden we are off again. I'll get some pics on as it progresses

Took the bike to work, created a nice little space and started stripping it ready for powder coating. Couldn't resist just sliding the yokes in loosely for a butchers
