Unfortunately not, even the local circuit tv did not cover it, the commentators only knew what was going on when they passed the commentary box

Technically they should be wearing green number plates as they're 250s, not 350s!!!

IDP did a cracking job of them! Wonder if they'll ever get raced much again though?

Plus their is a Barry Sheene tribute
This year is the 40th anniversary of Barry Sheene winning his first world title and I’m pleased to say we have been able to arrange for his two world championship-winning machines from 1976 and 1977 to be shipped from his home in Australia to be on show at the GP. We’re also arranging a Barry Sheene tribute display and parade and negotiations with riders continue and I’m pleased to say we will have :-
Graeme Crosby reunited with his XR35 RG500 from 1981, Tepi Lansivouri - runner-up to Barry in 1976 - will be present, Paul Smart, who will ride and RG500 Double World Superbike champion Colin Edwards will ride Barry’s Akai Yamaha. Kenny Robberts, Mick Doohan, Steve Baker, Wayne Gardner will ride the first replica of his “sit up and beg” Moriwaki Kawasaki - a machine commissioned by a UK collector and built by Graeme Crosby in New Zealand. Franco Uncini will ride an RG500, Niall Mackenzie will ride his Valvoline ROC Yamaha Plus hopefully another half dozen or so riders.
The Barry Sheene tribute display will be based in the same tented village as the Pro-Am. The Pro-Am paddock will be in a marquee in the north of the circuit, just behind the "Village grandstand".
The evening entertainment this year comprises of “The Rebel" Elvis tribute again on Friday night. Also they have got 1980s pop icon Rick Astley on Saturday evening supported by all-girl band Stooshe.
Plus they have got their own Bar!
Best regards
Johnny C.

Should be a lot easier this year bikes shouldn't want much doing to them Kev Hopefully that will be the case. It was quite hectic last year (and that's probably a big understatement) and a huge effort was made by quite a few to get nearly all the bikes running in time for the timed session. I also hope the pit marshals will be more educated this time. Last year several riders were blacked flagged on their first practice lap because they were smoking as they left the pit lane. It had cleared of course by the end of that first lap, but they weren't allowed out again. And that was it. 30 years since many had last rode on the circuit, one practice lap then straight into the race from the back of the grid. Despite all that it was I think a huge success, I know how difficult it can be to get one bike running well. Twenty plus in the time available and most were running ok by race day was a big effort. If the time since then has been spent well and the weather is kinder we could get a much closer race this year.

All the bikes have been tested on a dyno any problems should be minor, I now seven of the problem engines have been stripped and rebuilt . Off down to IDP at silverstone tomorrow to give a hand on the final preparation. Back down Friday for practice and qualifying, race on Saturday, should be able to watch moto go this year on Sunday.
