I was wondering if anybody has fitted an electronic tacho on a power valve . i have 3 wires , red black green , 2 are + and - and the other is a pulse from the coils to trigger the tacho. i can get round the 12volt by adding a small battery , but i'm not sure where to get a pulse from the coil . is it as simple as splice into the orange wire from the coil ?? I have no electrics on the bike , coil cdi box and kill switch , and valves fixed open , thats why i need to add a small 12volt battery c/o a radio control boat .

Cheers for that , this is what i intended to look into tomorrow , wasn't sure though , so tomorrow i should have a tacho working on the valve after all , i went to fit a tacho drive to mine as well and found the drive shaft inside the cases was missing no way I'm splitting them , so i had my spare tacho from my 3tj race bike re calibrated and hopefully , bobs your uncle !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the help dude
