Cheers Gaz I had considered rearsets but I didn't want to mod the chrome brackets on the pipes, or make a decent looking bracket to make it all fit. If my pipes were painted I might have considered it. One thing I did notice is I will need an offset front sprocket. I only had a quick look but I could see the chain wont run straight - sort of knew that but it's the first time the engine has been in this frame. The Lc engine originally fitted had an offset sprocket, although it was running an Rgv "P" arm, so may or may not be correct regards the offset. I'll measure and get on to Talon I expect I've got most parts to finish - need a rad - was considering one of the Chinese rads on ebay - there is one fitted to my new Lc, but I may go with one of Norbo's or MBD do a nice one - there is one fitted to the 385lc I have and it looks excellent quality. Will also need to make a mount for the electrical boxes, but there is lots of room now the airbox is out. Regards Dusty

Hi dusty
Regards Chain run I used a 6mm offset front sprocket and had 3mm machined off the sprocket carrier face that's using a 520 heavy duty chain.

Cheers Gaz I will have a measure up when I get a chance. Started ripping my kitchen out today and I am on nights tonight so free time is gonna get scarce again. That's why I got the engine and pipes fitted when I did - who knows when I would have done it otherwise !! Cheers Steve - I know you have a billet head on your build too - they are a quality head for sure. Can't wait to be firing her up again Regards Dusty

Hi all After a long couple of months of home diy, I can start thinking about my bikes again !! Got them out of the garage today to start thinking what to do next; The blue bike is a work in progress - I now have a rad for it - a Chinese item off ebay for £50 which looks good for the money. Carbs and electrics are next; The white 350 is taxed and Mot'd. I have some Hagon springs and fresh oil for the forks and am hoping to get a Yss shock for it as the original is tired now; The black 385 hybrid is at the back of the queue, needs the Zeel setting up and some other bits - a future project; It's great to get back in the garage, and I hope to update each thread soon Dusty

Hi Des Seems ages since I even looked at them !! Got involved with a kitchen refurb, work, family stuff etc etc, and just haven't had the time for bikes. Still got my old fridge freezer stored in the garage so until that goes I cant get fully involved, but hopefully that gets collected next week. Hope your new year is a good un too - we will have to get to Brands in 2016 Regards Dusty

Hi Des Rad looks good value for £50 posted. I wanted one of Martins (MBD) rads, like the one on the 385, but what with Xmas and the kitchen, I couldn't stretch to that at the moment. Haven't fitted it yet, but hopefully it will suffice until I'm a bit more flush. That's the trouble with having a few bikes - any spare cash has to be divided between them Best wishes Dusty

Any chance of a close up photo of the MBD rad as it's wanted on my list. Happy New year. Mark.

Hi Mark Don't think I have a close up of the rad, but I will dig the bike out and take some pics for you. It's a quality rad for sure, and I like the fact it has an extra spigot for the Ypvs bypass pipe from the head - saves drilling a 3mm hole in the thermostat. As the blue bike is next to build, I may rob the black bikes rad to fit to the blue one for the time being. Dusty

Nice one Nigel, that's the one ! Mine has been sprayed black and had the extra spigot added, which Martin can get done for pv owners building hybrids. Dusty

Wheeled the bikes out yesterday and thought I would try the Gully seat out for size; Think it looks good on this build . I also swapped the Rgv master cylinder for the original that came with the bike; Due to the uplifted clocks, I think this master sits better. It worked well with the 4 pot Tokicos when I bought the bike so I think I will end up using this. I am going to research keeping the Lc loom - the switchgear is like new and looks less bulky than the F2 parts. It's tempting to swap all the F2 parts over but I will try and persevere ( electrics not my forte !!) Dusty

Hi Des It will get decals eventually. I don't like it plain, just haven't got round to buying decals yet. I will probably go with the 2 stripe that was on the candy blue Lc's. This is Subaru blue so a bit darker than candy I think. It's a lovely colour though - never liked blue bikes until I got one and it's really grown on me Dusty

Hi Jumpstart They were on the bike when I got it. The anodising had worn in places so I took them off to polish them and found they were marked K B A. The previous owner said they were sourced from Japan apparently ! They fit the Lc footrest brackets perfectly so I assume they were bike specific ? Sorry I don't know more than that. Regards Dusty

Cheers Steve, if it looks as good as yours I'll be happy I think decals will transform it, but as there are a few options I want to make sure I get the right ones. Dusty
