Whats the score with running a YPVS without a battery? I know it will run just by taking it off, but I've heard about a simple circuit that smoothes the voltage from the reg/rec and gives a better spark. Any ideas?

Why would you want to ? I thought it would mess up the YPVS servo and CDI settings

Yes, pv's go through cleaning cycle once started and then operate as normal, so I don't think it causes any problems with running. Just wanted to know pro's & con's and how you wire it up?

If anyone has any ideas it'd be much appreciated...... It's supposed to be quite easy, but my wiring skills ran-out after 3 wires and a plug. Does anyone on here run without a battery?

It will run fine with out a battery. The ypvs will run so long as the bike is running But the lights will go dim at lowrevs and flicker . You will not get a better spark and you will not feel the bike running better with a battery ilimator . You would be better ov fitting a V rated plug if thats what you whant but unless the bike is tuned even thats a wast of time .
