anyone know anything about honda hornets.bin out for the first time this year on it & it's playin up when it gets warm.it's got an eratic tick over,it sounds more electrical than fuel,dont know if it could be the plugs ???ant ideas.it's sods law as i was plannin to sell it to pay for the lc & f2 re-builds.it did do it last year but seemed to cure it's self

pablo,it's a v reg m8 :)fetchin between £1500-£1900. i agree,i'm a yamaha man m8,can't beat em.had a 03 model r6 before the hornet but wanted sommit a bit more comfy.

went to my local bike shop today and asked about my hornet.don't do a grade cooler plug than the one's i've got in.he reckons the carbs might need balancing,cost about £40

took it to a bike mechanic and he balanced the carbs and changed the air filter and it's still no different m8 .so i'll av to try baggy's idea of changin the plugs

my CBR600 ran shite before i sold it...that was part of the reason for getting rid... ...didnt really know wot it was...changed the reg/rec cos of a charging prob,but sometimes it ran good,other times shite!...loads of sensors on these later bikes...LCs are bad enough for me when they aint running right!!!

Whilst you're doing the plugs, its worth checking the condition of the HT plugs / connections. Try removing the HT cap and trim a few mm off the cable end and reconnect, the ends aren't always a good join - may be worth a look if the plugs don't do it - and it won't cost you anything other than a few minutes time.
