Very nice 750. Is it a 1986 or 1987 model? I see you have the vakuum-carbs. G'day frosti, it's an 86 model from the states. it was the 1st year model there..

No,No, they are not fakes,,he he,,just vakuum-carbs,,, The 1985 had smoothbore-like 29 mm mechanical carbs,,if you get that, cant remember what they were called, same sort,,kind of, the old GS models used to have.

thanks for that , you learn something everyday,
were they thought of as an improvement or a step backwards??

I Think they were more "racing", they were flatslides with accelerationpump, so they probably hurt the mileage.
I hope it worked with the pics,,it is my first time posting pics,,so,,

750 H in red and black was my first proper road bike (I'll ignore the gpz550!) I loved it. Was like a big stroker really with the flatslides and even now if I sit on one it still feels instantly familiar 20 years later. Would hit an indicated 140/145 on a good day but with your head on the tank and all the wind turbulence from the fairing making the clocks bounce around so much you couldn't really read them anyhow!
Rattling flatslide carbs did sound Like the cam chain was FUBAR to the untrained ear and I hated CV carbs for years after the slabby and zxr/sp felt like you actually had the throttle in your right hand!
