Hi Ken Lovely bike mate. I have a soft spot for slabbies' - I had an 1100G and an 1100H and they are great bikes. Make big money in the Uk now for a good example - they were always gonna be a classic Enjoy. Dusty

It looks really clean. I made the mistake of streetfightering mine - should have kept it standard really. Same colour scheme as yours. Funny how you appreciate things more after the event ! I nearly bought an 1100L when they came out. Me and a mate were going to buy consecutive reg no. bikes from Motorcycle City. Had the test ride on a demonstrator. It's the fastest I've ever been on a bike - 145 down the M4 with a salesman following on a ZX10. Really wanted it but I ended up buying a house, my mate got the bike - and lost his licence not long after Dusty

Cracking bikes, I had a 750 and later had the 1100 slabbie, very easy to pop the fronts up on both bikes, nice comfy seats but the only downfall i found was very high footpeg height. Keep it standard as the price of these bikes are only going one way-UPPP!!!!
cheers Colin

A mate of mine has a 1100 slabbie that has been in his lounge for the last 8 years. I keep badgering him to recommission it and put it back on the road as it looks the nuts. Maybe he will do it this year - seems a waste for it to sit there doing nothing.

That's lovely!! I street fighter mine too. Was the same colour too..... only good thing tho is that I still have it..... bought it when I was 18, cost a hundred pound a month to insure it but loved it, seemed very quick after my 350lc! I'm on the look out for a donor bike to return mine to its former glory, I cut the rear subframe off and put the rgv unit on, stupidly tossed it all away including fairing.... wished I never did it but if I hadn't I would of sold it years ago

Thanks for the replies . Its had some common (to the US at least) period mods done like the bubble indicators
and the rear subframe and mudguard cut level at the back. I have to admit it does look better imho but has devalued it a bit.
Everything bar the rear subframe can still be purchased new(NOS). As time goes on i will collect them all to return it to stock..

I could show them off all day :-) this one only makes around 50 hp but is the 1st choice if I'm doing a track day. Sorry bit of a thread hijack going on here. The 750 was the begining of a new age, whip that Motul sticker off get a seat cowl and ride.

Well if you don't mind then, here's mine, it's one of the early ones. Not quite as nice as it looks, belly pan's a bit rough.

Very nice 750. Is it a 1986 or 1987 model? I see you have the vakuum-carbs.
