Just realized I don't have a complete pic of the bike so here's the ebay ad www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201227570697?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITBasically it was put away in a damp garage 15 years ago when the tank started leaking with the intention of fixing it at some point but after 13 years the owner died. Bought it from his mate selling it on behalf of the widow. Despite the fairing it is a matching numbers N1 with 3 previous owners. Some close up pics of the state of it remember my one brings back a few memory's good luck with the project Amazingly the engine turns over freely and when I stuck a battery in it all the electrics work. The pv's cycle freely and it even has a spark. Resisted trying to start it though. Every bolt has been swapped out for stainless hex which is a nightmare as planning to put it back as original as possible. So far only the mirrors and seat cover are the only planned non original parts that will be on it. Kicking myself as I got distracted by a p1ss up in Newcastle and missed a pair ending on Ebay. Typically I can get NOS N2 mirrors but not used N1. Fairing on it is actually a bike specific Powerbronze unit but don't know what they were thinking. Pipes are 1UA so have to go. List of parts already sourced are Rust free tank N1 dent free pipes Good chrome grab rail Good chrome footpegs New rubber brake lines N1 headlight and bracket Good chrome gear lever An absolute fortune on NOS/replated and mint second hand fasteners and clips for engine, frame and everything bolted to it Good 31k shock, belt and adjuster ( F2 shock fitted ) I ain't getting anything else from Santa this year Steve PS - anybody want a full fairing lol

Final furlong now New tap fitted to tank after giving it a good swilling out to get the residue out from the painting process Panels all fitted, just a little re alignment on a couple of panels and some manipulation of the seat as spread a little at the front. Just speedo cable and guide. Mirrors are staying in the boxes as I ain't risking taking it back down the side of the house and scraping them On to the next one lol Steve

Got a few more finished pics today. Will upload later
Took them while waiting for the new owner to pick up.
Going to a collector. Got a 250lc, 350lc, lc2 ypvs, rd500 and rg500 to keep company.
Strangely not upset seeing it going, think it's cause my head is onto the next one already

Finally got to the end really good read ! Attention to detail is unreal what a fantastic build you should be really proud. I'm gobsmacked with the plating kit and olive ends I'm pleased it's gone to a collector coz if it were mine it would kill me to ride it and my lounge just isn't big enough. The only thing I couldn't see was the Rolex emblem on the clocks ..... Words escape me.

Steve, we live not that far apart, who did your powder coating, the guy i used before is gone, plenty of people doing car wheels, but wont trust them with my bike parts, cheers andy Hi Ive used p and j in thornliebank for years but wasn't too happy with the last frame they did. Was too heavy and had started to ripple in places. Luckily not seen on the finished bikes. Esp gets a good rep but expensive Also seems to be a good place in Fife, very bike friendly but can't remember the name off the top of my head. As for car wheel places I've used wheel pro Scotland with good results. They don't blast but chemical dip so it etched the surface. I get wheels and stuff done there I also use them for stripping stuff. Got a powder coated frame stripped for Β£15 Steve
