Jon It's not transferable without welding the original headstock to another frame So the v5 is useless without it Matt That's what I thought Matt. He says assume there is no headstock. So in my mind it's only of use to someone ringing a frame. Not the done thing IMO. Jon

I thought it is against ebay rules to sell a V5 without the vehicles chassis.
Something I didn't know is that you cant sell a vehicle on ebay without the V5, as you often see people say that they have lost it in a house move and the new owner can apply for one.

I think he means you can have the reg number on another bike, transfer the reg plate, well I think that's what he ment Fozzy, that I might understand if it were a desirable plate, but the plate isn't even mentioned. Why would someone change a plate for no reason? Price drop though, now only £200 for a piece of paper. Jon

I was under the impression, that any reg number can only be transferred if the existing vehicle has an MOT, sure I read it on the DVLA site.

How about people bidding on their own stuff to set false reserves? I'd been watching this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401333665010?_trksid=p2471758.m4704The bloke had that TZR and a banshee quad listed, the high bidders on both items was the same person - C**K (13) - and someone had obviously realised this bloke was using an alias to bid on his own stuff to put a default reserve on it, so someone used a new account to put a bid of £5000 on it to expose the high bid (reserve) that C**K (13) had put on, and it was £2,900. Then they retracted the bid. Now I could be wrong here, but both auctions ended with C**K (13) being the winner, and he'd put bids on that no one else was willing to exceed. Here is the Banshee one... www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/401333661163?item=401333661163&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565What's the betting that they both get re-listed fairly soon.

you can have a mot on frame number, in fact you have to do that to get it registered
