I know three people who have bought one, they all compare them to an LC and love them, one guy traded in his year old R1 after a test ride !

I've got one aswell, its also the first brand new bike I have ever owned. Its a good bike think I'm going to replace the shock at some point as it gets a bit bouncy at speed, but other than that its spot on and really good on juice. Watch the dealers at 1st service in the service book it says you should only pay for workshop consumables and no labour, Padgetts tried to charge me £100+vat until I kicked up a stink.

Agree with you about being bouncy, I have heard that some dealers tried to charge for the first service as well. Will check out the battery terminal issue as well. I wanted the red as they no longer do that colour and have replaced it with yellow just looking at an Akropovic for it.

I got the recall for mine from Yamaha yesterday, got to ring padgetts and get it sorted. Mine is the deep armour with abs it was the last one they had and I needed a new bike quick after a git in a BMW wrote my DRZ400 off. I've done 2600 miles on it since the end of June and I'm very impressed with it especially when riding on country lanes.

Mine has done 250 miles so its the only one the dealer had and cannot get anymore till Jan. The dealer wants to keep it I the shop till then but I am happy for them to keep as I have to find room in the garage for it
