As above mate. You wont get any more power and it just mite weeken the pettels and if they brake its going to cost you a lot to fix the engin when they brake and go up the cylinder. If its more safe power you want, you need Racing reeds, lightened fly wheel, after market pipe, skimed head, 1 tooth down on the front sprocket. You will knotice a good diference with that lot .

metal reeds can fatigue and fail, causing damage to the motor, the fibre ones are less likely to do any damage if they get in there...the stops are there for a reason,to stop 'flutter'...you can raise the stops slightly to gain a bit of lift or gently increase the curve...reeds also have a life expectancy...they dont last forever...more lift, shorter life.without the stops you may find they dont work as well...

Just remembered we run our 250lc without stops but bonded a piece of tunstan wire to the petals this worked great and no flutter we used Hiteck reeds but it was over 20 years ago.i have just found them so they didnt break. But i can say they worked great but we got done with em Proddy racing 8-)as you do.

Hi Pablo.Ill try at sort it soon m8.Looking at them now they look as good as new.We had lots of trouble with getting the wire to say on and move as the reeds.Im not going to tell you what we used and how we did it but take it from me many a petal went through the bench engine ;D.I think we must of spent 6 months plus sorting it all out.My wife came up with the answer as a non tec head and it was so simple {the bitch}we never heard the last of it for ages LOL.
