Grunt, the 33mm CRS were running 125 mains and needle position was 2nd from top. This worked fine with the GPZ 1170 with big valves and polished out inlets and exhaust ports. Hope tis helps.Cheers Nick.

Hi Rob, Did Kip supply you with those yokes? I used to make most of his stuff but he has been ill which forced him to wind up his business and I haven't seen him since, you heard anything about how he is? Andy My ELR getting ready for the upcoming track days Rob

Hi Andy, I did get a set of him for my endurance bike, a couple of years ago. As far as I am aware, Alan suffered from a heart attack last year and has to give up work. Really sad as I had met him a couple of times and he helped me with some set up problems and he was always really helpful and a genuinely a nice guy. Rib

Yea, top bloke, carrying a very lot of lumber though, holding down a full time job and doing bike bits till all hours of the night whilst eating stress morning noon and night, a recipe for disaster, no one has seen him anywhere though which is a worry.
I have some parts if you know of anyone in the market.
Nice bike though Rob.
Andy

Andy, if you let me know what parts you have I can put them on the Z1OC website, to see if anyone wants them. Very sad to see Alan go like this, he was extremely helpful and when I chatted to him always a nice guy. Rob

Hi Rob, Took me a while to get this all together but here goes: I have three sets that are 210mm hole centre x 39mm fork clamp and one set that are 210mm hole centre and 43mm fork clamp, they would be supplied with the steel stem fitted. I'm after Β£300 a pair for them because I want to get rid of them. I did quite a lot of parts for Kip so if anyone is stuck for information I may be able to help. Regards Andy

Will, use a Pingel fuel tap, I get mine from Grumpy 1260 performance spares and the carb clamps you can get from Cradley Heath Kawasaki. I will find the part number for you. Rob

Pingel come in different types, you can have twin or single oulet and with or without reserve. This is the number for the clamps of a z1000j which i think is the same as the ones you need. 92037201 Rob

Skidmarks do the fairings. Headlights you can get as patterns. I made up a couple of brackets for the fairing out of sheet metal. Also join the Z1OC for advice and parts. Rob

Bought about 8 years ago. All the importmant bits are stashed in the loft. One the the GPZ aswell, as photobucket is playing up. The last one was 22 years ago when I build her.
