I asked Kenny to make me some pipes with a strong midrange for my YPVS hybrid they have been fitted for a while now & I have just had had the mangler set up properly on Projex motorcycle engineers Dyno by Kev who sorted the carb set up out for me I think Kenny has done a cracking job on the design of these pipes the pipes where not designed to make maximum horsepower just a strong midrange have a look at the dyno chart & see how well they work 64 bhp & just under 38 ft/lb of torque Spec is mild road tune standard reeds with 10mm spacers cool head with 22cc domes standard airbox with snorkel removed & lid drilled PWK 28 carbs with N99 needles with clip on top position 120 main jet zeeltronic ignition set up by Dave Reynolds

PWK standard needles? Pretty sure they don't have one, unless of course its a standard for a KX100 which is a NAPF, or an old KR1s which is a N68X. Or pre jetted for a banchee which some use the JJH, can you advise what model or make bike you originaly bought the PWK's for. As I am amazed you are running a 120 main and I would really like to know what is written on the side of the needle. Don't get me wrong I am super impressed with the power curve, and your fuel /air ratios on the graph look tolerable, with my limited interpretation that is.

my PWK's are running N99 needles and on 125 mains on my standard 350LC engine, I'll be doing some more dyno work again soon (24th Aug), and this will be with a set of Kenny's pipes, so it will be interesting to see how it improves things on my current set up (I am expecting gains of between 6bhp to 8bhp) once jetted and set up correctly (possibly more after some other mod's I am looking to do)
I am also looking to do an exhaust test soon, again one set will be Kenny's plus any others I can get my hands on, results will be published in due course, but these new pipes of Kenny's do exactly what they say on the tin, which is always great to see "statements" being backed up with facts, well done Kenny

Great results John.
I was with Dave Reynolds at the weekend at the VJMC South Staffordshire show.
He was talking about "The Mangler" saying you had really good results.
Looks like I have the correct ingredients on my acrd/ypvs.
Kev's dyno, Kenny's pipes, pwk's and Dave Reynolds working his magic on his lap top sorting the Zeel.
Can't wait.
Err. Yes I can. It's frightening seeing your bike full chat going nowhere.

Kenny's pipes are awesome, can't praise them enough.
Fueling was out on mine and still managed over 41ft/lb of torque.

Cheers Foxy John, for the needle type, Mutts guts advised in this thread and previously replied in another thread of running the N99 Needle. Honestly jetting is not the easiest for a layman especially starting with a brand new carb, so I really appreciate you guys sharing the info, now I am able to cross reference, N99, JJH N68X and what I currently have NAPF. There is an absolute plethora of Needle types and information on tapers/diameters/lengths etc so now the work begins for me. Again thankyou. PS mate, the bike looks great. Especially those pipes.

Nice bike and good power, I swapped my JJH needles for N68X needles runs a lot better now, one clip from top and 150 main, was on 152 mains but would not pull clean. Jess

That looks great John, especially with Kennys pipes on. I still haven't fitted your old JMC arm to my Hybrid as too many other projects, work kids etc. but wont be long now. I've recently got my F2 valve going well with a set of Kennys pipes and they really do make a huge difference. Cheers Nick.

Gents, going to fit KR1 carbs to my Barlow 400 Banshee sleeved 4lo with mild tune,so was going to use the JJH needle with 152 mains, what do you think? Also not sure on pilot size. Running Ramairs. Won't hold to what anybody advise's as all bikes are different as we know. Currently running 430 mains and 32 pilots in standard carbs and runs spot on. Thanks Mark.
