Tried to remove the seized bleed nipple in my caliper and subsequently snapped it off. Then I drilled it and put a screw extractor in it - which snapped off too. Now I have a very hard and undrillable extractor stuck too! I gave up and went back into the warm!! Anyone got any ideas how to get it out?? Try 'freeze & release' aerosol? Then try heat. Another drill extractor with an impact driver? Not today, but just the other one... Pulled the barrels off to have a squiz. Found this on the right hand side. That'd be why it stopped with the rear tyre about 2 ft out to the right. Today...getting manual fuel taps for my XS11 in the mail Hope they fit & Waiting for the engine reconditioners to ring and tell me I can pick up my 250 AC barrels AND my 350 LC barrels after having them all freshly re-bored. The 250 is +.25. The 350 is +.75. Now it's late in the day & they haven't rung.

Spent an hour in my garage so now I can join in, Started stripping my 500 down for its winter clean/refurb, the clutch was slipping under load so going to put some yzr springs in so gearbox oil drained ready to take the clutch case off! Carbs came off next going to tweek the pilots before a good clean then refit, Rode the bike quite a lot in the rain last year so need to give all the hard to clean parts a good seeing too, Just made me feel a load better using my spanners again, Roll on spring.

I took mine out for a spin today. Coughed spluttered and generally didn't run well moots of smoke and a general feeling of sluggishness. Then stopped smoking but a little smoke from the offside pipe. Just once did it burst into life and I nearly shat myself so something is not right :-( Also to add to the misery the clutch cable is on full adjust and just pulls in but slips when stationary :-( is clutch replacement an easy job as I am NOT mechanically minded at all. Comments appreciated as always :-) It was amazing when she did pop into life :-) when I got back I noticed lots of black oil up the number plate too. Not such a good day. But that momentary burst is still making me smile :-)

Took the seals out of a pair of spare fork legs, and found that a previous moron had managed to score the surface where the seal sits If he / she was a spark, I wouldn't let them change a fecking light bulb!!!! P.S. spell check recognises that "fecking" is a spelling mistake ;D ;D ;D
