I think I read somewhere that an mot is still required in it's 40th year, it's when that one ends/expires is when it actually starts.

Jon Tell me about it 😡 They are not the only people taking the p1ss I have a main (work) email address that I use for very important stuff but I also have a tiscali email address that I use for other stuff. Proboards, dvla, bike insurance, Tesco mobile etc A few years ago they were taken over by Talk Talk 2 weeks ago I got an email from them saying that if you don't have their broadband you either have to pay £5 a month or they are switching off your email address I'm fecking raging For years I've been handing out that address and buggered if I know all the places I'll have to change over 🤬 B4st4rds Steve

My RD400 is a 1979 model so applied for tax exemption early this year. DVLA said only bikes registered before April are exempt. As mine was registered October 79 it`s not exempt till next year.

Having finally got the pistons out of the calipers (brute force and a pipe wrench). Got one caliper stripped, painted and shiny new stainless piston fitted. Looking good.

Put a new cover on the seat, fitted a new o ring to the fuel sediment bowl, replaced the side panels. Was going to refit the fairing and a few other bits and bobs and take it for its first blat…..no mot yet.... and it started to rain. So I fired her up in the garage, cursed the weather and choked on the fumes, went in doors with a grin and sunk a couple of beers. The first run will come another day.

Well after detailing bikes for a couple of other folks. Started up elcy for the first time in a couple of months. Started 3rd kick but reckon it would have started in one if i let the fuel reach the carbies first. Anyway after a 20 minute ride thought it was time for some TLC. On the lifter now and will pamper it to within an inch of its live. I ride a few bikes but this is just such a fun bike.

Was all going well and then my bike lift became incontinent... seems its lost all its fluid after being let down and is now seized in the down position.
