in the on-going impulsive, indifference to published advice, somewhat ignorant and partially masochistic quest to remove the 6,000 flat spot from the '81 I purchased a Boost Bottle only to find that things that fit Banshees don't always fit the real motorcycle version- them tubes is too wide. I do my best to ignore the reddevilbodger inside of me- "go on- just drill out them holes on your rare OEM never-touched reed block rubbers with...a big fat drill bit that.....looks big enough" idiot. Don’t do anything to your rubber inlets, or purchase banshee ones as suggested. That boost bottle won’t fit an LC as the tank will hit it. You need one for an LC if your going down that route with the angled sides. Bottom of this page: www.nkracing.co.uk/n4.htmlI’ve got one of these on my LC. Jon

Went for another drive today. Nice sunny morning though a little chilly +2 deg . Kees and me went to the beach via all the small bendy roads and had a real hoot chasing each other. i should set a good example but in the beginning i overtook him and told him he was driving like grandad. We stopped at the beach had something to eat and drink then swapped bikes and drove back like idiots again. Every one bangs on about big bore engines and 350's but i really like the 250 engine. It is sweet as a nut, silky smooth and you can wind it up a treat. I dont think i spent much time below 8000 rpm. The engine noise of those bikes on song got a lot of attention from the public

PV definitely don't fit. Air cooled ones do and so do XS models.

Picked up my barrels and crankcases from Tony at AJS Aquablasting today, one case was repaired (usual chain damage job) , he's done a top job with all of it, really nice fella to deal with as well.

I get the frame all welded and repaired thanks to all for the input, now just sorting RGV bottom yoke. Still cant decide what colour to do the bike, red frame or black. I do like the Kenny Roberts look but quite a few done already.

The weld repair looks spot on! Actually it’s almost invisible. I expecting delivery of the olive drab parts from Tony tomorrow.. hoping for similar quality. Kostas
