it gives you a good reading of how hot the water is thats fed to your motor! I thought the idea of a temp gauge was to tell you if the motor was overheating not how hot the water is that is cooling your very expensive motor. If I had just spent all that money on a motor I would want to know that it was not running too hot & likely to seize, as mentioned by the suppliers on one of the other 2 stroke forums. most of all they look the nuts and keep people asking silly questions about them lol Seems like thats all these bikes are about now................looks OEB

It not just looks Both bikes have remote thermostats set to run cooler than standard. So we got side temps with proper numbers to watch and gauge how the bikes will run. You can never have enough info! And yes I do want to know the temp of the water in my engine don't you??its not rocket science!

mate how are you getting lc parts in auzzie??
|
|
|
Post by JonW on Nov 4, 2011 1:07:48 GMT 1
The LCs were sold here and there are a few around so parts are 'findable' but some of the newer stuff has to come from elsewhere as, TSS apart, we dont have any LC suppliers for specific stuff, tho of course cranks, rebores and other things can be done by the generic guys. So Ive spent a small fortune on parts from all over the world for my bike. Switzerland, Canada, USA, UK etc. Its also expensive for things to be done here, I found it was cheaper to buy a set of LC bodywork and have it posted than it was to have my old parts repainted. mental.

lol the vid where chris walks off at the end mine goes flat....derrr i never turned tap on lol
been many year since i had petrol tap.
chris's is alot louder than mine and im trying to just let the engine do some heat cycles at the time.
but thank we both love the sound...together there great.

hi all ive cured splutter it was pilots its lifting front wheel with ease lol..
although chris 421 with custom rad is doing ok...mine is just bit too hot for me!
so im offering the custom built rad i have for sale
its done 20 miles and would be ample on any tuned lc or even upto 41 but not 485.
its 50mm core with many more cooling tubes than standard
also its 10mm further forward at the top and 15 mm further at bottom straightning angle of rad for more air flow.
this cost me £450 to have made to look as close to standard design but bigger.
i wanna get back £375 towards new rad if any takers if not it goes on the bay.
